Collaboration with german photographer Gordon Schirmer

2024 @fotome_official

This collaboration was born not long after seeing his initial research and work RÜCKSICHTEN, a homage to the human back. We love Gordon’s work and share a common ground: the human body.

Gordon about RÜCKSICHTEN:
«When I took my first photograph of ‘human trunk’, that picture made me want to create a series. From that day on, I assembled this series within four years of work.
A back structure is fascinating, especially its figurative shape from hip to neck.»

German photographer Gordon Schirmer captures the nature of the body in this series for Diorama. Through intimate close-ups, Schirmer highlights the natural beauty of the human form, enhanced by the design of Diorama's collection. This series of 9 images creates a strong connection between body and adornment.
Here SEMILUNA features in an intimate take.

Schirmer often focuses on the form and intimacy of the body, capturing it in a raw, vulnerable state. The blurred hand, long exposure, creates a sense of motion and ethereality. Schirmer’s use of Polaroid adds to the tactile, immediate quality of the photograph, inviting us to engage with the image's intimate nature while contemplating the abstract beauty of the body. This series reflect his signature exploration of the human body.

As part of a series, this image shows the interaction between jewellery and the body, focusing on vulnerability and sensuality. Schirmer and Diorama explore how adornment enhances the inherent beauty of the human form, strengthening the link between personal identity and jewellery.
