Illuminare

With this collection we want to create an intimate and sensorial relationship with the body, like a second skin, the skin allows a glimpse of our interior and the silhouettes of what we are made of. To delineate and honour the human body as a vessel of our experiences and as a mediator with the outside world.

Painting the human body with gold has a ritual meaning linked to the sun, to the God who in various ancient cultures is the star that gives life to the cycles of nature and nourishes every living being on earth with its light. Shading light means realising, recognising, seeing. 

We want to reveal the landscape of the human body by outlining a corner, a valley, a hill, the horizon. Highlighting parts whose presence is imperative to live a human experience and yet seem almost hidden. Light to our body, light to our body.
